API Internal thread gate valve has the advantages of small fluid resistance, small torque required for opening and closing, simple structure and good manufacturing process. It can be used in the pipeline with two-way flow of medium. When fully opened, the sealing surface has a small erosion ratio by the working medium. The valve belongs to the forced sealing type valve, pressure must be applied to the valve disc to force the sealing surface not to leak. Its closing principle is that, depending on the pressure of the valve rod, the sealing surface of the valve disc and the sealing surface of the valve seat closely fit together to prevent the medium from flowing. The opening and closing parts of American standard internal thread gate valve are plug-shaped disc, the sealing surface is flat or conical, and the valve disc moves in a straight line along the center line of the fluid. The movement form of the valve rod, has the lifting rod type (the valve rod rises and falls, the hand wheel does not rise and fall).
